The feds put a crackerjack female operative on the case and sparks soon fly. THE LONG SHOT (1939) Marsha Hunt, Gordon Jones, C. Henry Gordon, Harry Davenport. Davenport faces financial ruin from bad guy and rival stable owner C. Henry Gordon, so he decides to fake his own death and bequeath his prize horse to his pretty young niece, Marsha Hunt. Bad guy Gordon doesn't take this lying down but hero Gordon Jones is around to help straighten things out.
