A beautiful face which captivated the Golden Era of Hollywood is timelessly captured in her many screen pairings with young and handsome leading men. Romance was only one of the many genres the classy Ingrid Bergman made her own across the four-plus decades of her career. This triple feature shows off some of those successes which helped identify her as a queen of the silver screen. The trio includes Adam Had Four Sons (Warner Baxter, Susan Hayward, Fay Wray. 1941/81 min), a sweet, tender story in which Bergman plays a governess for a wealthy couple whose four sons and father get even more attention after the wife-mother dies. In Cactus Flower (Walter Matthau, Goldie Hawn. 1969/104 min), a funtime rom-com, a dentist pretends to be married just to avoid any unwanted commitment. But when he decides he wants to really marry his partytime girlfriend, she wants to meet the "wife" he’s going to divorce. So he solicits his nurse to play the part. Lastly in A Walk in the Spring Rain (Anthony Quinn, Fritz Weaver. 1970/98 min), a college professor takes a sabbatical with his wife in the Smokey Mountains so he can write a textbook. A local handyman fills the bored wife’s time with a number of adventures while hinting that he is interested in more than just friendship. Color-b&w/PG/fullscreen & widescreen.
