First time on CD, 30 songs first released in 1960 performed by The Ames Brothers as a tribute to the Big Bands! The four Ames Brothers were real brothers from Massachusetts who dominated the American pop charts in the 1950s with 3 chart-toppers and 37 Top 30 hits over the 10 year period. They also had their own TV show with their LPs enjoying chart success. Of the 30 tracks on this CD release, 24 are from LPs released in 1960 - 'The Ames Brothers Sing the Best of the Bands and 'The Ames Brothers: The Blend and the Beat' with the remaining 6 tracks from the LP, 'Hello Amigos'. As suggested by the LP titles, the songs are standards from the Great American Songbook first made famous by the Big Bands and are all appearing on CD for the first time in re-mastered stereo sound.
