Traveller - a young man named Pat (Mark Wahlberg) visits a clan of nomadic con artists in rural North Carolina from whom he is descended. At first he is rejected by them, but a likable rogue named Bokky (Bill Paxton) takes him on as an apprentice. As Pat learns the game, Bokky falls in love and desires a different life. Telling Lies in America - Karchy Jonas (Brad Renfro) is a 17 year old high school student (who emigrated from Hungary seven years earlier) trying to find his way in the world. He meets radio personality Billy Magic (Kevin Bacon) who takes him under his wing. However, authorities are after Billy for accepting bribes from record companies to give their songs air time.
